Got this from Alexandra yesterday:


This is Kirk Rankin’s farm. Kirk was the first ever farmer to let us study his animals, year ago (with his own ideas as to what we should do), and he chaired the Code Development committee — and so it feels particularly vindictive and nasty that they picked on his farm.

Worse, the c. 6000 mink released were all young, so it’s not clear how they’d cope with freedom, nor, if caught, being recaged with a stranger (since there is no way now to pair sibs with sibs).

The CMBA have now upped their reward for information from $75K to $100K.
