End of Experiment 2b

11 09 2015

Yesterday marked a significant turning point in the cage size study: the end of Experiment 2b (on what floor areas are preferred by large, well-furred, melatonin-implanted males in hot weather). This whole project has been very intense so far, with unrelentingly back-to-back experiments. Now there is a lovely long gap until the final two experiments next summer (a similar pair of floor area studies, this time using females). Maria can just relax and write (well, after the ISAE conference and a bout of teaching [she, Mike and Steph Torrey are covering for me while I’m on leave]) .

It marks the end of summer too, we hope for the mink, as Maria is no longer there to give them a nice cooling spray at the end of a hot day.
