Money money money!

It was a good week for research funding last week!

UFAW gave Walter and I 4800 GBP for the project he wants to run in Brighton in the autumn (good as they turned down me and Andrea’s rhesus monkey proposal for a lucrative RTS; we were highly ranked apparently, but got pipped to the post by Tom Smulders‘ plan to look at hippocampal volume in stressed chickens); IBio graduate Aimee Begley won a $15 000 Queen Elizabath II scholarship to come and join my lab as a MSc student in the autumn; and me and Mike won $40 000 from OMAFRA for a one-year post-doc for him to survey mink farmers across Canada for their enrichment use.
