Congratulations to Sam!

Sam defended his thesis today, and it was one of those defences that’s just really fun and stimulating. His experiments were essentially a bust, but his conceptual framework was so beautifully developed, I know I’ll use his thesis for years. And I suspect he’s discovered something quite interesting about how some mink hoard enrichments in their nestboxes (moving them in and out several times a day).

Below, Sam handles a question from one of his other examiners (Lee or Esther); my questions gradually turn into a pile of litter; and then two of us enjoy it all being over.
